Bringing long lost lovers together!

So I get a phone call from a current store today.

"Hi Amery, this is Amery from Destiny"

Wha??? Who from where???

her: "Isn't that funny?"

me (after a long beat of silence): "I'm so confused right now, help me!"

So, turns out that her name is Ammery- spelled with one more "m" than my name. How funny is that? And apparently the store owner bought a new store, called Destiny, in Salt Lake City.

Here's the good part.... Ammery used to date this guy when she was young and then she moved away. Five-ish years later, the young man in question now works at Destiny (are you getting this?) who carries my work.  Every time he shows someone my work, or polishes it, or straightens the case or even walks by it, he thinks of his long lost love "Ammery".

So he calls her. My case, my name made him call her after all this time.

Aaaaaaaand....... she moves back to town and now they are ENGAGED!!! Is that not the cutest thing you've ever heard?

I feel kinda responsible for bringing these two long-lost lovers back together. It makes me feel all warm and tingly inside.

I think I need to design a piece for the couple that was "destined" to be together. :)

Peace & Love!

Breathe...

"Every day, think as you wake up, "Today I am fortunate to have woken up. I am alive, I have a precious human life. I am not going to waste it. I am going to use all my energies to develop myself, to expand my heart out to others, to achieve enlightenment for the benefit of all beings. I am going to have kind thoughts towards others, I am not going to get angry, or think badly about others. I am going to benefit others as much as I can." - His Holiness The Dalai Lama

I don't know about you, but I'm printing this out and posting it in my bathroom so I can see it every morning, and hopefully it will stay with me throughout the day.

I needed this about an hour before I saw it, I was stuck on hold with customer service at the bank for about 30 minutes while they tried to fix my problem. I was getting so worked up as each minute ticked by. Grinding my teeth and thinking "what an idiot"! What I really needed to do was breathe and relax. It's not the end of the world, this is not heart surgery, no lives are at stake. It's a credit card processing issue, that will either get resolved, or it won't. Let it go. Breathe....

Namaste everyone.
